12th February.. The day I try to forget

12th February has always brought me a drop of happiness and a glass full of sadness.... But still can't do anything about it, cos it is going to come into my life every year.... every single year. I have a goddamn good memory that doesn't forget what all happened....

Some of you might understand this post in anyways you like, but the truth is, be it 2007 or 2012, on this day, I've lost a lot of precious things in my life.... things that I can't get back, the moments that I can't recover from, ever..... The moments that never skip off my mind.

Every time I see a group of friends coming out of college, and discussing their after exam party plans, I get to remember my last exam of the first semester, where I almost survived but lost a friend in front of my eyes. We were all so happy one moment, and the next moment, we all had tears in our eyes.

Every time I see someone on phone, I remember the call that lasted for so long, never looked like it would end, and all that went on in the conversation was the beginning of one of the greatest losses I'd faced. Although I had enjoyed a lot during the day, the week to follow had been a week full of worst nightmares.

Someone might put in their own dates over here, or put themselves in the sufferer's shoes. But let me tell you, the situations differ, the level of pain differs, and so differs the ways in which you recover from this situation. The first one hasn't yet left my tongue, and the second one just added salt to the taste. I might be acting like a jerk by not letting go, but the truth is, you can't, because its always there on your mind. We just give other things higher priority. For me, I get involved into so many things nowadays, just to keep my top floor busy, because the longer it remains idle, the more it thinks of those times, of the day, February, the 12th ...

When Prayers Are Acknowledged....

Prayers, just like food or clothing, plays an important part in every person's life. Meditation or dedication of any sort is necessary for a healthy and happy lifestyle.

Some people, that includes me too, have a few doubts regarding the statement written above. Why do we pray? What is the advantage in reading those chants? What part do they play in our lives? Well, the answer to these questions can be sorted out by answering the next question: What do we believe?

Not every person on this earth believes in the super power. But those who believe in it say that its always necessary to believe that there is a power, that supersedes every other form of energy around us. Its the power that rests inside us. All we need is to wake it up. We have absolutely no idea of our potentials. But it is said, that meditation and prayers are the triggers that can help us enlighten that energy, provide the adequate heat necessary to initiate our inner power. They are the push that help us start our engines.

Are our prayers acknowledged?
Well, if we talk in terms of GOD, He is quite busy sorting out which wishes must be fulfilled first. Of course He can't satisfy every one in one go, He has to set priorities, and plan His actions accordingly. Ring a bell??? Something we've been hearing since our child hood times, "Set your priorities, and plan your actions accordingly". Well its all in the prayers. Prayers and meditation do just one thing, they help us build a disciplined lifestyle and routine, its a good habit. It calms our mind, and readies us for the day's remaining tasks. We feel energized almost throughout the day, have positive thoughts, and negativity gets reduced. A belief generates inside us, telling us that we are ready for anything that is about to come in our way. Believe me, the prayers are acknowledged. Good things are always acknowledged.
It sometime happens that we are unable to follow our routine, so we must remember that we're humans. Even GOD makes mistakes, the frequency is less though.

If GOD do exist, its like a girl you are trying to impress (Boys, pay attention). You give a smile every time you pass by her, occasionally say, "Hello :)". You keep doing this for sometime, and guess what, one day she also acknowledges you and returns with a smile, "Hi :)". You feel happy, don't you? Gives you a start.
On the other hand, you can follow the above procedure once or twice, and then give up, thinking that it won't work for you anymore.

Well, its just an example :P. Prayers are similar to that, although more powerful, and with a strong belief and efforts, they are fulfilled. Otherwise, they're just thoughts.
