Mumbai rains...

Mumbai Rains

Today while I watched water droplets fall from the sky, for a moment I wondered. "What's the fuss about Mumbai Rains? Ironical for a Mumbaikar like me to ask such a question. Its Mumbai Rain dude. We Mumbaikars spend months of scorching heat waiting for the first signs of rain. The only droplets that we are acquainted with all this time are our sweats. Hard earned or not, you may never loose sign of them on an average day in Mumbai. People try to keep themselves inside air conditioned rooms and are generally afraid to get out unless its really important; or to go to schools, colleges and offices.

But as the first droplets of water from the sky touches us, it feels like heaven. I still remember how joyful I was when few drops flew and fell on my face early in the morning. I just woke up, sat next to my room's window and stared while it(rain) poured down with full power. It stopped in an hour, but during this time I saw many residents of my society go to the park and play football and other outdoor games. It was a treat to watch. I missed it last year when I wasn't in Mumbai.

As a token to remember this, we asked our beloved Aunty to make Potato and Onion Ponako (Bhajiya). Had them with tomato sauce. Hot and happening stuff to remember the beautiful first rain.

I believe this is just a start. More to come.

And its Mumbai Rains People.

Don't miss it for anything, and I mean anything...

And please don't stop believing in yourself... Here's Jatin signing off!!!!
