Dear Friends,
This post is dedicated to one of my friend's latest visit to Mumbai & my first trip to the current neighborhood, Pune.

One of my friends, Anand came to visit the city of Mumbai to meet me. As we didn't get enough time to spend with each other in quite a past, I took leave from office, to ensure that he isn't left alone in this city. He came directly to my office, from where we left for my home by around 11:30 PM. was given a lot of Humorous Emotional Atyachar by my loving colleagues @ Office before we left...... (hehe lol.... :) )
Once we reached home, we started looking for the options where we would be able to enjoy our weekend to the fullest. So we decided to go to Pune, as I had never visited the city. It is situated at a distance, which can be covered in around three to four hrs by Bus.We left very early in the morning. By 8:00 AM, we caught our bus from Sion. The bus took only one halt, and we reached our destination by 11:00 AM (Exactly 3 hours from Sion). Anand told me that he had a few relatives in Pune, and we planned to go to one of them. Aunt came to pick us up from the drop point in her car.
Aunt's home is in an apartment is situated in Baner, a fast developing areas of Pune. The flat was very well maintained and furnished. For a moment, I thought I've entered the President's suite. What I liked the most was Aunt's attitude. She is a fun-loving lady, who likes to sneak a laugh out of you every now and then. She has a daughter, Neha, who goes to the pre-college, and a son Rahul, who is self-employed. Her husband works in Indonesia.
By the time we reached her home, Neha was about to leave for her college. Rahul was yet to come back home, as he stayed at office all night to complete his deadlines. he joined us around 12:00 PM. Aunt served us delicious Lunch later on.
My friend and Rahul started discussing over the business plans of Rahul and the level of technology that he is using. Then they also discussed a few career plans. We also discussed over the latest gadgets in the market, and how Steve Jobs was different from an ordinary presenter.
By evening, I told Anand that I had to meet a couple of persons here in Pune. The first one was Ankita, my niece, and Karthik, one of my best mates from school. Anand wanted to go and see Rahul's workplace. So we decided that they will drop me to my Ankita's place and then carry on.
I learned this afternoon that she wasn't well for last couple of days, so we decided that we'll remain close to her home. We spent a few hours together, wherein we discussed a lot of stuffs, about her studies, about things happening in the family. Then I dropped her home and left.
Later I went to Pune Central Mall, where Karthik picked me up on his bike. His Suzuki 6-speed bike ride was a dream run! We discussed a lot of stuffs before reaching his place, where he ordered couple of pizzas which we had with his other roommates. Then he dropped me to Sayaji Hotel, where Anand gave treat to Aunt's family. From there, we went directly to Aunt's home.
As no one felt sleepy, we decided to play a card game UNO. Neha, very interestingly, explained the rules of the game, and that Aunt and Rahul are big time cheaters in the same :D . The game lasted for around an hour, but the laughter lasted a long time! By the ways, I won the game in the end :P lol ......
After the game was over, Rahul had a wild thought of having a night out (boys only). His thoughts involved ideas of going to a Coffee Shop, and of spending time in the night life of Pune. But then we disagreed as all of us were really tired (considering that Rahul woke up the whole of last night).
Next morning, we were served with one of my favorite dishes, Idli Sambhar. I miss the delicious Sambhar, which wasn't "sweet", as is the Sambhar made in most parts of Mumbai, but had the perfect ingredients (won't go into the details..... God this blog is abt my trip....sshhhh).
Now was the time of packing our things and move to the last destination in Pune. Rahul dropped us at Prakhar's home. Prakhar (Anand's another cousin) lived along with his wife. They planned a lunch for us at their place, and we were supposed to leave Pune right after. We were a little late with our schedule, but anyways, we were able to take 6:30 PM bus for Mumbai.
The trip didn't end there, as we had to go to one more stop. One of our friends was eagerly waiting for our presence, before Anand left Mumbai. We had a lot of gossip and some snacks. This way, we made it to my place by around 1:00 AM, but I'd say it was worth it, because in the end, we both needed a much awaited break from our daily routines.
Some special occasions:
To Dear Aunt & Family: We all enjoyed the treatment. You gave us unforgettable hospitality, for which I will never forget them.
To Ankita: You are nothing less than a sister to me. You had the courage of even thinking about moving through the city when you weren't in best of your health, just for me. Love you.
To Karthik: A long time had passed before we finally met. Was good to note that your nature hasn't changed even a litlle bit. Change se yaad aya......... :P (kuch yaad aya?).
To Anand: For making all this possible. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have left my place this weekend. Can't even thank you for this (verna maar padegi.... :P lol....). This time we were able to spend some time together, compared to your last trip, where we kept running from one place to another.
Truly, an unforgettable couple of days' trip for me......... And thanks for reading.....
Yours Lovingly,
Jatin...........:) :P :D
